Ahoy there,
It's that time again. Time to start pulling out the new calendars and throwing away the old. Still, last year will be a year that Marooned looks back on fondly. So many wonderful things happened and some great new events got added to our schedule. This year looks like it will be turning out the same.

Last year saw three important events. The first was the first ever Marooned Fan Site. Yeah...that's what we thought too...amazing isn't it? The site can be viewed at http://sanctuary.punk.net/faire/ojai0900/marooned.html Of course, if we've overlooked any OTHER fan sites out there, let us know...we'll link to you post haste!

2000 also saw a new member join our merry troupe. Lenora Roseland made her debut at the Gold Coast Pirate Faire, and continued on with us to the Seaside European Festival. So make her feel welcome and at home.

Recently, Bob has gotten word that he has been given the nod to head up the start of the US branch of the ISSA. Currently everything is still with the lawyers overseas, so it may still be some time before that gets rolling, but rest assured…we’ll keep you posted. A link to the ISSA can be found on our website.

Finally, 2000 was the year of the Official Scathach McCallough doll! That's right, Jen has her very own doll! We hope to have some pictures of the wonderful creation of our friends at WyndMyre Creations, as well as further information should anyone want to start their very own Marooned Doll collection. (Hey, if I can't have an action figure, perhaps I can have a doll!)

Of course, this year looks to be just as wonderful as last, if not better. Gold Coast Entertainment, the people who bring you the Ojai Renaissance Faire and the Gold Coast Pirate Faire have added two more faires to their schedule. This also adds two more faires to OUR schedule. Considering that we did five faires last year, the Gold Coast faires alone put us at four. A great start!

Promote San Diego will be holding their second annual Seaside Renaissance Faire and Enlightenment Festival in May. It is stretching from a 3 day faire to two separate weekends. We are hoping that they also follow up with a 2nd Annual European Festival to boot.

We are in negotiations with a faire in Tennessee for October and are keeping our fingers crossed. this is the furthest that Marooned will have traveled to perform at an event, and we'd sure love to get out there. So you folks out East, start bothering the faires out there. We want to travel more and with Scathach and Captain Roberts planning a brief stopover at King Richard’s Faire in October, and Marooned will really be on the move this season.

On the album front? No real news yet. Rest assured though, it is one of the foremost things in our mind. Hopefully in the calm before the storm we’ll be able to find time to get the album finished for sale this season. We’ll keep you all appraised of the details as they develop.

As always, stop by the Marooned website at http:www.angelfire.com/nv/mhoraigh for all the latest in performance information.

So, until next time,
Marooned
