Ahoy there!

Well, it has been a while since we have gotten the last newsletter out and quite a bit has happened. So brace yourself for a storm of information.

First, let's start with the Santa Barbara faire. As those who attended probably noticed, Marooned did not perform there this year. There are reasons for that (Discussed below), but those of Marooned that did go had a wonderful time and did some singing as "Marooned-1". Just shows you, you can't keep a bad crew down ehh?

Secondly Marooned has started into the studio. After many many delays Marooned has finally started laying down tracks for their long awaited first album. Of course, they wouldn't be Marooned if they hadn't stumbled across more delays, but such is the way of things. Hopefully recording will get back on track in the coming weeks. Expect updates as the album project continues. The album features Marooned performers past and present and promises to be a special treat for all.

Next let us discuss the reason for Marooned's absence from the Santa Barbara performance schedule. As many of you know, in July Bob Brinkman flew to Orlando to audition for a tv pilot. Well, in September he flew back for callbacks, which fell on the Sunday of the Santa Barbara faire. Now some of you may be thinking, "If he missed a faire he better get the part". Well, we learned today that he DID and he will be returning to Florida in February to begin shooting.

As for upcoming events we have mixed news. Starting off October we have a return appearance at Borders in Green Valley. Saturday, October second Marooned will be performing at 2pm as part of the Renaissance Days celebration being held to support the upcoming Las Vegas Renaissance faire. Come on out and have a good time.

Speaking of the Las Vegas faire (Oct 9 & 10), apparently the local faire had problems keeping track of who it had mailed contracts to. Marooned, as well as several other performers never received contracts due to a clerical error at the Park District. HOWEVER, we will be out and about at the Las Vegas faire regardless, singing and carousing (Hey, we're not under contract...HEAVY on the Carousing).

The following weekend is the second Ojai fair of the year and Marooned returns to the stage to finish out their Faire season. As always, we look forward to seeing you folks out by lovely Lake Casitas and it promises to be a grand time.

Until we see you next,
The Crew of Marooned
