Ahoy!

May is almost halfway gone now, and it's been a bit of a slow month. Marooned has instead used the time to re-gather their sanity from April. Last month saw two appearances by Marooned. The first was a mock sea-battle being held by A&E to promote their Horatio Hornblower series of movies. It went incredibly well and a good time was had by all. Marooned was truly in our element as we sang shanties as we sailed off to battle aboard the Bill of Rights.

Our second appearance was a return to California for the Ojai Renaissance Faire. It is always wonderful to play at Ojai, but this year we had to move a stage uphill (Both ways, in 5 feet of snow?). It seemed that people couldn't see us as our heads were level with their feet. Luckily, we fixed that and had a great time. We will be returning to Ojai in October.

As for the rest of the month of May? Our next Borders appearance has been pushed back until June, no specific date yet (Trust us, well keep you posted). So the rest of the time will be spent getting ready to go into the studio in August. Yup, you heard right, Marooned is going to record at long last. So get involved, send us requests and feedback so we can make good use of what you, our audience, likes.

See you all in June,
Marooned
